Dumplings in Teriyaki Sauce with Mushrooms & Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pack Vici Gyoza dumplings (600 g)
- 200 g frozen green beans
- 1 carrot
- 2 + 2 tablespoons oil
- 100 ml water
- 150 g mushrooms (e.g. shimeji, shiitake, Agaricus bisporus)
For the sauce:
- 4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 4 tbsp water
- 2 grated garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- Some chopped spring onion
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a pot and boil the beans for 1 minute. Drain.
-
Slice the carrot into thin pieces; set aside with beans.
-
Mix teriyaki sauce with water, garlic and ginger in a bowl.
-
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan. Pour in the frozen dumplings (in one layer if possible). Cook for about 3 minutes until the underside is golden. Turn and fry on the other side. Add water carefully and a pinch of salt, then simmer the dumplings for 3 minutes.
-
By now most of the water should be absorbed by the dumplings. Remove pan from heat. On the same or another pan add the remaining 2 tbsp oil and fry mushrooms, beans and carrot slices for 3‑4 minutes.
-
Add dumplings and sauce to the vegetables, stir gently for a few minutes so everything is coated.
-
Garnish with chopped spring onion and sesame seeds, to taste.
